Light shines within the darkness. For light there is no time. When light looks into darkness, the darkness is still. But the darkness moves within itself. It rises and falls and changes its form. It strives always to reach the light but cannot do so.
Only the light may reach into it. Only the light may penetrate it. And only the light can bring it life. So what is this light? The light is you. If you would know yourself you would know the light and the darkness together. The darkness is not the enemy of the light. It is the lover of the light. The darkness receives life from the light. And the light receives form from the darkness.
And the light takes the form of the darkness and elevates it to light and color. And darkness gives to the light and color, sensation, and movement. You are light. And your form is your darkness. And when your form fades, the light shines.
But choose to make the light shine so that the darkness fades. Don't let the darkness fade. Rather, let the light prevail against it. And shine through it. And your life will be eternal.

know nothing of mind nor metaphor
Giving structure and direction to emotion and sensation is the gift of the light to the darkness. Giving form and movement to the mind is the gift of the darkness to the light. And the two create life.
To know nothing of mind is to be non existent. Then there is only the animal. The king does not sit upon the throne. And the earth rises and falls for lack of a steward.
