What's The Best Cat Liter You Think?

I think scoop away is the best one.

I have never tired this one what can you tell me about it besides the obvious that is forms clumps & you scoop it away.

We use Arm & Hammer & Tidy Cat depending what is on sale. I like both of them & the cats like them too. That is the most important thing is what they like. If they don't like it they won't use it! I also have a feral cat colony that likes the Arm & Hammer the best.

I use the scoopable litter that is sold in bulk at Petco. It's economical. The experts say not to flush the stuff and that we should be concerned with how the stuff affects our cats as well as ourselves. Okay, but I tried the stuff that is supposed to be more environmentally friendly, like the recycled newspaper stuff and I couldn't stand the stuff. It smells terrible when it's wet. Some people swear the stuff doesn't have a smell. I disagree. I think when it's wet that it smells like a pulp mill. I've tried the stuff made from wheat when I had a different cat. It was what she was used to. I wouldn't use it again, because I couldn't stand the smell of it in this dinky apartment I'm in now. It's a lot more closed-in. Plus, I don't want any of the stuff made from various ground up grains because they can mold and have tiny critters in the stuff. Not good for kitty or me either one. Also, some cats, like the one I have now, are allergic to grains and shouldn't be around that stuff at all. I've never tried to use the crystal stuff. I think it's expensive and it's made with chemicals that I don't want to be exposed to. The stuff sold in bulk at Petco is very economical and is just as good as the brand name stuff for about half the price or less. And, it doesn't have the added smelly perfumes and fragrances that I can't be around and certainly wouldn't want to expose my kitty to in the first place. If you're going to use unscented scoopable litter, the is the most practical and economical kind I know about.

well do they sell it over the net cuz id be willing to try it but we dont have a petco near by

Unfortunately, no, they don't sell this one over the internet. I've looked. Every so often, they have other things that are actually worth ordering over the internet. This one, though, isn't available over the internet. Rats, too bad there isn't one close enough to you to make it worth your trouble. The 30 lb buckets are refillable for about $12. For my one cat, it lasts me over a month, nearly a month and a half. So, it's really worth it.
