Okay now... I have been thinking a bit lately. I am not sure what is up with me. I know that I have neglected my writing and I hate that fact. However, between a full time job, 7 children, one grandchild and a house to clean I have been very busy. I have missed writing and as of late have taken time (at the expense of my house cleaning to write)
My question for the day.... If you found a bag with a million dollars inside would you turn it in? Okay now of course I will give you some sort of background to make this situation a little more specific. I would love to see the various answers and reasoning as perspective will of course vary on this subject. I thought it would be a fun excercise for the day and offer some insight to others thinking. Here we go...
It was a sunny Saturday. You were driving down the street in an effort to complete your errands for the day. You pull into the local Grocery Store parking lot. A brown paper shopping bag sits in the middle of the parking lot. No cars around... You walk over slowly. You look around for spectators and then.... You slowly open the bag which reveals a huge pile of various bills. You do understand that this area is often used for drug deals and illegal dealings. There is no camera in the parking lot. It is dimly lit and not a soul is in sight. At this point you have to decide what you should do.
You bend down pick up the bag and then.....
Okay guys... fill in the blanks for me.. what would you do? I am sure that most of us could use the money. I understand that temptation to turn it in and maybe get a reward is in your mind.. However, if this is ill gotten gains there will of course be no reward.. You think about it and let me know.
Have a good day....

You are a good person.. I am not sure I could avoid the temptation of looking. I am the kind of person who shakes my christmas presents...lol
Keep it!"
I hate to admit what I would do.
The seventh graders do have some good insight.. what is the saying... finders keepers, losers weepers..lol
But, everything is seen. You may not see the person watching, but word may just get out.
So holding onto it for a time, not spending one cent, just for a time.
This way if and a big if, the people loosing it turn up on my doorstep, gun probably in hand, I can hand it over to them without blood shed.
Not expecting any "reward". Heck I would be more expecting it to be from a bank or some other kind of robbery. Die blowing up in my face lol! Or being counterfeit. Meaning I could get busted if I spent any of it.....
If they never show up, cool!! Why would anyone turn it into the law or whatever just so they could keep it?? AND spend it?? The law already takes away peoples belongings and sell it/them as it is lol!! Money if not laundered good has numbers, these numbers can be traced if spent...... With money comes responsibility, found or earned, or won, even stolen or whatever.
Nice comment and very well thought out.
Have you guessed my kid found money.... not this much but.
That is the thing, with dirty money comes dirty people. Who is going to protect family members, friends?
Some people killed for less then a million dollars these days.
Oh I would be real hesitant lol!! Someone who looses a million bucks probably has more then a million dollars to loose, you know lol!!
My daughter found an expensive watch in a shopping cart when she was ten. She turned it in to the Customer service desk and an elderly lady who was well off came back to the store and got it. The desk clerk gave her my daughters name and she called each year on the date to tell My daughter how much her action meant to her. She also sent her a card each year for almost five years with $20 inside.. I guess there is some rewards for actions. The situation would have to be considered I suppose. Life is more important than money.
What a nice thing for the lady to do!
What a lesson your daughter got from this too!
Cool!
