On Thursday afternoon, a radicalized Muslim US Army officer "shouting"-"Allah akbar!" {God is great} committed the worst act of terror on American soil since 9/11. And no one wants to call it an act of terror or associate it with Islam.
What cowards we are. Political correctness killed these patriotic Americans at Fort Hood as surely as the Islamist gunman did. And the media treat it like a case of nondenminational shoplifting.
This was a terrorist act. When an Muslim extremist plans and executes a murderous plot against our unarmed soldiers to proteat our efforts to counter Islamist fanatics, it's an act of terror. Period.
It only seems fair to call this terrorist an "Islamist terrorist". But the president won't. Despite his promise to get to all the facts. Because there's no such thing as "Islamist terorism" in Obama World.
And the Army won't.. Because its senior leaders are so sick with political correctness that pandering to America haters is safer than calling terrorism "terrorism".
And the media won't. Because they have more interest in the terrorist shooter than in our troops, despite the phony crocodile tears.
Get ready for the apologias. We have already heard the media looking for away to blame America for the actions of this Islamic coward.

The Obama administrations nonresponse to the Fort Hood attack will mock the memory of our dead.
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan planned this terrorist attack and executed it in cold blood. The resulting massacre was the first tragedy. The second was that he wasn't killed on the spot.

The truth that I see right now is we have to wait for more information to come out on Nadal Malik. They are just starting to dig into all of this and you can bet there will be information that won't be available to the general public just yet.
The reason many don't want to emphasize this as an act of Islamic extremism is because of the overreaction many people will have and how that will affect Muslims in this country who practice moderate, modern Islam. Those who love this country and their faith; who practice peace and understanding, and not the politicized radical Islam we are fighting.
Already they are feeling the effects of this and it's not right.

I've been following the story, just as you have. I feel really bad for the woman who was pregnant. They've been digging into Malik's past and talking to people he's had contact with. One guy said there was something wrong with him. That he was incoherent when he spoke. Did you see that?
It is my understanding that translated into colloquial English, "AllaH Akbar" is the equivalent of saying, "God is Great", it is just as possible that he thought it would be his last chance to utter those words before he died. I suspect many Muslims have made those their last words even women who were dying as a result of childbirth which is hardly a terrorist act.
