Either Im hearing things or My house has issues!??

Just a few minutes ago I had to wake my husband out of a sound sleep because something scared the crap out of me so bad I didnt know what to think,let alone want to look...I was sitting here as I am now sending an email and I herd the loudest noise next to the window almost like the window was smashed,it hurt my ears tooo...sounded like someone broke a window..OMG...I was so scared because nothing seemed right...so when the husband looked the window was intact,so we both walked outside where the card were as our cars are right below that window as well,and our windows were fins as well??? hmmm so needless to say the husband thinks Im out of my mind..

But IM NOT..I know what I herd its a matter of what the heck was it? and now it has scared me to think really what was it??? I just dont hear something for no reason,i know I herd it and what it sounded like,but it was SOOO LOUD... maybe a shot gun?? but I doubt that and we live right next to the fire station I mean like right next door...I dont know but its just freaky...This happened to me in my old apartment one night as well sitting at the computer,I herd something like it fell or banged behind the computer desk...Yikes..... Anyone have any insights? lol Husband says that its too early for someone to start anything crazy as far as early in the night,most things happen when your asleep,so now he just thinks Im nuts!!! The dogs didnt even go crazy and they hear everything!!!
