What's the "tasks" section?

At the top of our home page are three sections -- one for mail, one for points, and one for tasks.  I tried clicking on the tasks section, but nothing happened.  Does anyone know what that's for?  What sorts of tasks are there?

It's when there is a friend request, for one thing. If there is a number just click on it and you will see what task needs to be taken care of. Hope that helped.

my task says :17 group invites, when i wave my cursor over it.

i have no idea if that's the amount of groups that i am in or the amount of groups that i haven't signed on for that have sent me an invite. I use to see a thing that said "you have x amount of group invites.." is that still there? PIF

I don't think so. It seems to have been eaten up by tasks in general...

If you have groups you moderate (I have three) it tells you how many waiting posts there are.
