Another Quilt Complete and 3 More in the Works (again)

I've completed this quilt....it's for my granddaughter Araya.  As you can see, I had enough to actual do a pattern of sorts for hers.  I like it.

I say 3 more in the works again because I am just not feeling right giving everyone quilts and then my grandson getting the crocheted blanket...so, I've started sewing squares together to also get him one made for Christmas.

This quilt is made once again from the bags of scrap material that I bought for .50 a bag.  Also, some of what was left of the sheet I used on the back of Willo's quilt. The outside is lace instead of binding.  We found the lace in a box at my mom's house.  The inside is scraps of batting I had bought in a bag at the Etc. shop for .75.  I had to sew the scraps together.  The back is a sheet I bought at a yard sale for .50.

It's fantastic, Marsha! You are doing great! I have been contemplating doing 1 quilt for Christmas. I lucked out and found 2 nice one's at a thrift shop for the older two, but nothing for Gilly. When I was sorting my sewing things, I found scraps precut for close to a twin size quilt, so I think I may just give in and make Gilly's quilt.

Awesome. Reminds me of my thrifty aunt. She had a whole herd of kids to keep track of, too. She was so skilled at doing this kind of thing, too. You found some teriffic bargains and skillfully made them into something new and unique. Definitely a lot like my aunt did years ago when all of us were still kids.
