A Photo Journey Through the Gardens with the Scarecrows 2009

The Botanical Gardens in Dothan, Alabama was overrun with Scarecrows.  Check out the creativity put into these Scarecrows.  The last one was the spookiest to me and even had a Granddaddy Long Legs (yes, a real one) resting in the eye socket.

Hello Bob! Aren't they interesting? I love the creativity. It is always fun to see these, especially the ones entered by the school children. So much fun.

I've a fascination for scarecrows...some I think are real :-) Truly, since I was a wee thing, I've always been fascinated by them. I can stand near one for ages, wonderin' if he's about to speak to me, or what he's thinkin' about, hahaha! Imaginary scarecrow peoples, I guess!
Some of them do seem like they will just speak to you at any moment, don't they? Most little ones are afraid of them, I'm glad you weren't. Your fascination with them on the other hand...;)

Nice shots! How cool to see another botanical garden doing this! Such creativity and fun!. I have a photo essay of the scarecrows at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens posted.

Kat, the scarecrows you have in your gardens are also very creative. If I had to choose from the ones you posted, it would have to be the baby in the high chair. That was too cute!
