Having now a dog and a cat it's no secret that the pet hair in my house is out of control. I've been wanting a new vacuum but knew it wasn't in the budget so I just made due with what I had. Fast forward to Sunday.
Target has the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser on sale for $149.99 and you get a $25 gift card. Hmm I do love the Target gift cards but don't have 150 to spare. So I continue looking thru the news paper and there in the coupons is a $20 rebate on the vacuum. Hmm again that would make $105. Not bad but I still don't need it, however I just keep thinking how nice it would be. Mail comes Wednesday - $10 off a $100 purchase at Target, that would make it $95. Now we are getting closer to my budget. So I get the "What if's". What if I sign up for the credit card - I'll get 10%. I also have that $25 I just got from Gather, the $5 I got from the Consignment shop and before I knew it I talked myself into it. I just had to present it to my husband, when I did the math he agreed to let me have it.
Man does this thing suck - in the good way! Each room almost fills the container - yes it's been a couple weeks (Vacation and being sick) since I last vacuumed but this is outrageous. I am impressed, it's a bit heavy but I'll get used to it.
So here is the math.
$150 - gonna round up a penny.
$25 gift card from Target
$25 from Gather
$20 Rebate from Bissell
$5 from Consignment shop
$10 from a Diaper study I am completing.
$13 from signing up for the Target Credit Card
$10 off $100 at Target
For a total of $42 - now that is in my budget. :0)
** And because I hate Walmart - Walmart has the save vacuum for $142.49 - With the above that could be applied to walmart I would have paid - $82.49 - another way I saved $40 by not shopping at Walmart. **
Here is a picture of my vacuum. :0)

Look for a review once have used all the attachments. So far I really like it.

all I have right now is a little Dirt Devil...but it does what I need it to with only the stairs and 2 rooms (plus the bathroom) with carpet.
I still love my Dyson Animal (3 dogs in the house, so I needed one especially made for pet hair, too!), which was $199.00 at Costco. (it was priced at $399.00 at Target when I bought mine!)
I hear you about WalMart, though! :o\
