I am staying right at goal. I hope to get a bit further ahead this week-end.

“I hope you don’t quit because of this,” he said. He voice sounded flat, almost defeated. He looked like he was going to say more but stopped, shook his head and entered his office shutting the door behind him.
“Hey Em!” Cheri called as she came through the back door. She loved the new house that Shel and Weldon had built. Of course, Weldon had his own cottage built down by the lake in the big pasture. It was about a mile from the main ranch house. “You here?”
“I’m in the nursery,” Emily, called back. She appeared in the hall as Cheri entered it. “I found these beautiful wall appliqués.” She held up two large wall stickers. One was a frog and the other a turtle.
“Those are cute,” Cheri gushed. Emily’d had the nursery all decorated for months now and was still finding more things to add. “I still can’t believe you’re having twins.”
“Shel is still trying to wrap that idea around his head also,” Emily laughed as she stepped back into the brightly colored nursery. “I on the other hand can feel them both, constantly! He will have to accept it soon. They are due in less than three weeks.”
“Three weeks already?” Cheri gasped. “Where did the time go? Do you have names picked out yet?”
“We still wrangling on that,” Emily laughed. “Shel says as long as his name is nowhere in their name.” Both women laughed.
Cheri caught her breath as she stepped in and looked around the nursery. One side was painted in shades of pink and the other side was in shades of blue. There were two of everything, two cribs, two bassinettes, two dressing tables. Pictures of animals adorned all the walls. Cheri saw that there were other appliqués. Then she saw the back wall had been repainted, again. This time it had a scene of a pond, with trees to one side and a grassy meadow to the other side. A bright blue sky with fluffy white clouds stretched to and over the ceiling.
“Wow, who did that?”
“One of Shel’s and Bryant’s Military buddies.” Emily replied as she sorted through some more appliqués. “You remember Buddy. The guy is scary to look at, but man, can he paint. You should see

Sounds like you've been working hard. Good luck with your goal.
So, I was thinking if you had a dramatic scene where she goes into pre-term labor, it make the plot more exciting.
