Autumn Fun

Yesterday I played with my camera. I started outside in the front of the house. I love the colors of Autumn.

Then I went to the back yard. The new persimmon tree on the hill is changing colors. Maybe next year we'll get some fruit.

The hot peppers are brilliantly red, green and full of fire.

Then I went inside to see what would be interesting to shoot.

My friend, Becky, gave us some pineapple guavas. I decided to do some still life studies. The egg was decorated by me a few years ago at a spring party using wax and dyes...Ukrainian style.

Here's a strange flower...pineapple guava style.

Then I went on a fall egg hunt and found these...

Will the non-egg please stand up? I got another idea after this but that will be another article.

Actually, I had a horrible time with Gather today...my computer was freezing when the pop-ups appeared and it took all afternoon to download anti spyware software and to get my photo uploader working again.
It's much more fun to take pictures than to deal with gather glitches.

I have a macbook and firefox. I believe that malicious spyware in the guise of the Hallmark ads is what was freezing up my computer. So we installed a program and it found one threat. It's called point something dot com. I saw it at the bottom of my screen when I was accosted by a pop up that I didn't want for hallmark while I was trying to upload photos. I was not able to delete the ad and the word stayed at the bottom there.
I looked it up on Google after rebooting and found that it was a nasty spyware program.

I do love how this photo trip out to see the Autumn colours, which are beautiful, turned from the stunning peppers to creating still lifes' within! They're colourful, bright, beautifully composed, and a whimsical and fun way! I would love to pull that very egg carton out of my fridge for breakfast tomorrow!

These were really fun to look at and I am sorry it took so much trouble. I do find photo essays especially more than 10 photos take a while, but I usually don't have the glitches.

do you have a pop up blocker? i know you have a mac...

my favorite is the pepper photo. the contrast of color, eye poppin red! love it... the first photo is beautiful too, so soothing these autumn colors. right now here there are small red trees growing out of the sides of the mountains. this is a luscious time. soon, there won't be any leaves at all... and then we will photograph the desolation.
