i had to have a baby doll and carriage
i got them and no i didn't loose interest in them after 20 mins. i carried that doll with me where ever i went for the next 2 years

I don't recall any toy that I wanted, but for a long time I wanted a bracelet with my name engraved on it. I got it one Christmas, and I still have it.

I had to have the Barbie townhouse with all the trimmings, furniture and cool elevator. My uncle got it and I was soooo happy!

My brother and I always wanted many things so my parents didn't have to go through all that. Not that we got a lot of gifts, we were just easy to please.
My kids never had that one thing or else syndrome either, thank goodness. That can be so painful for parents.

I wanted a Cabbage Patch doll and when I left that doll out in the rain it nearly became the death of me! After that I was happy with whatever I got :)

When I was about seven years old, my sister and I both longed for Patty Play Pal dolls. The dolls were about three feet tall, like a little sister. We knew my parents couldn't afford to pay $20 for a doll, but we still hoped.

Grandma to the rescue! Grandma showed up on Christmas Eve with two Patty Play Pal dolls and we were thrilled. We played with them for years before handing them down to our younger cousins. pif
