House Minority Leader John Boehner (R) Confuses Declaration and Constitution

At a tea party rally on Thursday held to convince voters to defeat health care legislation by the democrats, John Boehner (R) attempted to quote the Constitution. In doing so he was attempting to make a point and create the illusion that he was standing with the forefathers. Instead, he made a bit of a fool out of himself when he quoted the Declaration of Independence instead of the Constitution.

What would the GOP know about the constitution? They are anti American and the constitution is no interest to them.

Butbutbutbut... he SAID it was the Constitution! That's what it must have been. Nobody would make that mistake. He MEANT to do that.

I love how he takes out his copy of the Constitution (nice prop, but it's overused) - and still get its wrong!

There really is no excuse for this! I imagine whoever wrote that speech got a lecture (or maybe lost a job) -- but still...as a politician (and citizen) he should have caught his mistake after the first sentence or two!
