I tried posting this earlier today, when we lost our power for about 3 minutes......rather than trying to retype everything, I decided to wait till tonight to try again.
Anyhow, this is a magnificent dessert for holiday time...........it is absolutely delicious and I've made it several times.....another of my favorites! Hope you enjoy it as much as I!!!!
PUMPKIN DUMP CAKE
1 - 15 oz. can pumpkin
1 - 12 oz. can evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. nutmeg *
1/2 tsp. ginger *
1/2 tsp. cloves *
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
-----------------------------
1 box (18.25 oz.) yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. or 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, andlightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
Completely combine the first set of ingredients. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle with cake mix, and gently pat down with spoon.
Sprinkle with nuts. Then, drizzle with butter.
Bake for 50 minutes. Cool and cut in squares.
* You can use 4 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice or mixed spice instead.
