This is one casting rumor that has Hollywood buzzing. Johnny Depp is in talks to star with Angelina Jolie in The Tourist.
Depp would play an American tourist drawn into a web of intrigue and danger by a female Interpol agent (Jolie) as she attempts to locate a criminal who was once her lover.
After some major cast and crew shifts (Sam Worthington was previously on board, as was Charlize Theron and Tom Cruise), this current dream duo is a studio's dream combination. Lovely to look at. Powerhouse actors. Box-office gold.
There's a February production start. A lot can happen in a few months. Here's hoping Sony Pictures Entertainment can get Depp and Jolie to sign on the dotted line soon.
