Life is often quite difficult in Wilsonville, what with so many of us living together and financial woes, so the stress level here is pretty high most days.
The other day, my bedroom door would not open. It seems the spring that opens the little metal piece that sticks out of the door jam into the wall jam was broken and didn't retract any more. So that meant, I couldn't go into my bedroom. I need my bedroom and I need my ear plugs and I need a lock on my bedroom door. I am unable to function without those three things and when something like this happens, well, it feels like a HUGE big problem, even though rationally, I know it is not a big deal. I just needed a new doorknob and to change it out. Ok, where's the problem with that? No money to buy one, at all. Three budget cuts from the government means I can pay my rent and the co-pay on my medicines and nothing else (at all).
My solution; smashing the doorknob off the door with a hammer. And yes I did it and I liked it. I liked it a lot. I admit that when I was done, and yes, I did beat that thing until that door knob came off the door like some old beat up piece of junk, I was shaky and weepy. But that's related to the stupid diabetes. Exercise and stress really make me feel sick but this time I did not care. It was a small price to pay to be able to go into my bedroom.
The next thing I did was to call my parents and beg them to buy me a new doorknob with a lock on it. Which they did. My parents have many flaws but when the chips are down, they are there for me when I need a little help.
That's my hammer smashing things story. I'd like to smash something again today but there isn't anything I can smash that needs smashing. And on top of it all, Associated Content refused to pay for an article I wrote. It's been a stressful day here, a really really stressful day. I think I need to go lay down.
So, how was your day?

AC I've all but written off (I still accept my performance payments gladly, though) I was getting mad at them being ok with publishing something with no pay other than page views. Since I've had stories on there STOLEN from me, I'm not giving it away for free. So, unless I'm in desperate need of cash I won't be back on there. :(
My day was pretty good. We had a fun night at the school for Family Reading.
