What is your favorite board game?

I know - simple question, right? I'm shopping around for some more games for our house and honestly - I love Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. We also used to play Guesstures a lot but I'm not sure that qualifies as a board game.

I know that there are a TON of games on the market. So, what's your favorite one and why? I'm looking for some fun things to play this winter. :)

I don't know. There's a lot of good ones. My husband and I play yahtzee quite often. I used to love Clue as well. If you are looking for a good strategy/thinking game try Settlers of Catan.

I always liked Risk or Stratego as far as board games, but nothing beats good old fashioned Chess or Checkers.

We like games like zombies, humans, munchkin, munchkin quest, etc. Go to a game store NOT a toy store and there is a wide variety of card, board and combination games for the whole family and some are really creative and fun!!!!!!

fluxx, gloom, etc some of the card games are so creative we are enjoying them more than the board games lately!

One that we love is called "Nectar Collector". My kids loved it so much when they were little, that years later I actually had to track down the company that made it and buy a new one. We still play it. Another one we like is "Gods, Goddesses and Heroes". All of the children studied Greek and Roman mythology in school and that's how we got into that one.
