- Who do you want to go home to visit? or Who do you want to come home to visit you? Why?
This year, I would like go to my husband's home in Virginia to see his family for the holidays. We live 7 hours away from my family and 16 away from his, so it's not that often we get to see his family for the holidays. It has been almost 2 years since he's seen his sisters and nephews (his mom, dad and brother have all passed away), and this would be the ultimate Christmas gift for him. We just had a baby on October 19, so I am off of work and the Christmas season will be really tight for us this year. I couldn't even imagine how wonderful this would be for us to get to go out there.
- What is your relationship with this person? How long have you known them?
His sisters and nephews and I met them 4 years ago at Christmas when I flew out there to spend the holiday with my husband (then boyfriend). They are my sisters-in-law and they are the kindest and most caring people (aside from my own family).
- When was the last time you spent the holidays with this person?
The last time we spent the holidays with my husband's sisters was 4 years ago at Christmas, which is why going there this year would mean so much to both of us.
- What is your most meaningful holiday memory with this person?
His sister Cynthia hugged me as soon as she met me and said that she just knew that I was the right one for her brother. She wanted me to know that while her brother is her flesh and blood, her and I were women and women are to stick together, so if her brother did anything that upset me, I was to call her and she would handle him. From that point on, her and I were inseparable the whole Christmas holiday I was there. We still even talk and text on the phone like long-lost sisters.
- How do you find meaning in the holidays?
To me, finding meaning is simple in the holidays. Holidays don't mean fancy gifts and spending a lot of money to our families. Spending time with family makes you truly rich in life and in order for holidays to have meaning, all it takes is having family together.

Hey, work on getting Shanny to move to PA. I'll work on the rest of my family. =)
As much as I would like to bogart you and T for Chrimpas, I wouldn't mind sharing you with his sisters. I know he hasn't gotten to see them in a while.
=)
