One of my friend's grandmas used to feed us creamed corn and cream of chicken soup as a snack all the time. Eeeeek.

I love chowders of all kinds. Today I ate chicken corn chowder. It was Cambells though, not homemade, but boy was it good.

I also love Clam chowder.

Corn soup is delicious and I make a decenbt one. Like you I would not use canned creamed corn when I can get fresh. I cream it myself. The canned variety has high sugar and sodium contents and God only knows what they use as cream. Bacon is always in all my chowders
