House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to ram ObamaCare down the throats of the American people this week. In fact, she is forcing a full House vote on her government-run health care plan in just a matter of days, or even hours (depending on when you read this letter), without allowing any substantive debate.
Pelosi has literally taken off the gloves… and she must be stopped.
As Congressman Tom Price, who happens to know a little something about health care as he’s also one of the few doctors in Congress, recently said:
"Your concerns about a government takeover of health care have been totally ignored by Speaker Pelosi and her allies, who worked behind closed doors to write the bill. After months of debate, the bill they introduced today is essentially the same bill the American people have flat-out rejected."
Truth be told, Congressman Price’s words were tempered when you consider the reality of what’s really happening in Washington. Pelosi's latest incarnation of ObamaCare - dubiously titled the “Affordable Health Care for America Act,”(H.R. 3962)
is not merely "the same bill the American people have flat-out rejected"...
...It's actually far worse.
At nearly 2,000 pages, it's almost twice the size of Pelosi’s first bill (H.R. 3200) and includes even more of what the American people have already flat-out rejected.
And make no mistake, Pelosi’s plan to ram this latest version of ObamaCare down the throats of the American people with lightning speed is no accident … it’s a calculated political move to try to passObamaCare before you and millions of other concerned Americans have a chance to once again rally against it.
We can’t let her get away with it.
Congressman Price observed, the "future of American health care is in the balance and we are on the clock."He’ right.
How we, the American people, respond right here and right now will determine the fate of health care in this country forever. We can stop this government takeover of health care, but the time to make our voices heard is now.
Pelosi’s Bill Is Even Worse Than You Think.
Everything that was intolerable in the first House health care bill(H.R. 3200), is still in the second incarnation (H.R. 3962).
Congressman Price again:
"Government-run insurance? Still in the bill. Higher taxes? You betcha. An individual mandate that restricts choices and innovation by requiring Washington to define what qualifies as health insurance? Check. A job-killing employer mandate, a budget-busting expansion of the Medicaid entitlement, and countless provisions that set Washington bureaucrats firmly between you and your doctor? Better believe it."
Price adds:
"H.R. 3962 has all the 'government takeover' of H.R. 3200 with an extra thousand pages thrown into the mix. That's a whole lot of government involvement in personal, private health care decisions."
As if that’s not enough, here, courtesy of Congressman Mike Pence's House Republican Conference, are just a few more goodies Pelosi threw into H.R. 3962:
Page 111 - Section 223 establishes a new board of federal bureaucrats (the “Health Benefits Advisory Committee”) to dictate the health plans that all individuals must purchase.
Page 211 - Section 321 establishes a new government-run health plan that, according to non-partisan actuaries at the Lewin Group, would cause as many as 114 million Americans to lose their existing coverage.
Page 297 - Section 501 imposes a 2.5 percent tax on all individuals who do not purchase “bureaucrat-approved” health insurance - the tax would apply on individuals with incomes under $250,000, thus breaking a central promise of then-Senator Obama’s presidential campaign.
Do you believe Pelosi and Obama when they say “if you like your plan you can keep your plan” … that you ultimately won’t be forced to live with government-run insurance?
Check out this provision…
Page 94 - Section 202(c) prohibits the sale of private individual health insurance policies, beginning in 2013, forcing individuals to purchase coverage through the federal government.
Of course, Members of Congress and their family members need not worry about how this radical overhaul of our nation's health care will affect them because...
Page 225 - Section 330 permits—but does not require—Members of Congress to enroll in government-run health care.
Is this really what America was designed for? We are not a Socialist Nation, was never designed to be, and from the introduction of Socialism, we have been on a downward decent. With Socialism, and becoming part of the Globalism, the US has declined in every way. Yet the Politicians and the Liberal members of our society refuse to face the truth, and continue to drive us further down the drain. When is enough going to be enough? Socialized Medicine does not work. Look how many people come here from Socialized nations for medical treatment? Look how many hate that system, and look how many countries are being financially drained from that form of medical practice.
Lets look at facts folks, they will lead us back into the light.

Hey Dan R.! Long Live Obama......Long Live Grayson......Long Live America......
Lets take the baby bottle away from the whining conservatives.
Ahhh, so now saying that we do what your left has done for years to get us here, that is a real address?
Long live Obama and Long Live America, do not go together. Long Live Obama, and Death to America, do.
I hope you like a dictator, because you are supporting the bringing in of one. I doubt it will be Obama, he's too immature for the Democrats to use that way. He's a dope they push in through those that cannot think for themselves.
Thank you for supporting Anti-Americanization.
Neither bill goes anywhere near far enough in the direction of solving our health care financing problems. Other democratic countries have systems that are cheaper and result in a higher standard of care. We ought to be able to do it here. The bills in congress perpetuate the broken system we're using now.
If anything, these bills needed to be much stronger. Unfortunately, the voices of everyday Americans -- the ones who get up and work everyday, or spend their days looking for work, or the retirees who can't afford their prescriptions -- are being drowned out by a few loudmouths. The worst of it is, the legislators who listen to them, and not their constituents, who overwhelming want health care reform.
Every poll is targeted towards the person/group that is doing the poll, they all favor what they want. That is why no poll will ever be accurate. Close maybe, but never accurate.
So yes to realy on that poll as a fact, is a fantasy, even if you relyed on a conservative study, to rely on it as a fact would be a fantasy. Yes they are good for ideas in a particular group, but nationally, no.
Carl, listening to yhour leaders, will not help you, yhou need to look up the information for yourself. Look at different sources, and then the hardest part, think for your self.
Many Doctors are even against the AMA for simular reasons.
Yes we need a reform, but not this trash.
What is unusual about this move is that the Dems are literally throwing many of their own people under the bus for this vote. The abortion amendment that anti abortion Dems wanted got shot down and the public option that even more dislike is in the bill, both are factors that will draw some defections at a minimum. The likelihood of any GOP support is slim to say the least so it goes on a straight party vote.
If this thing passes as narrowly as some Dems are predicting, it will be a major warning to the Senate that their hold is becoming precarious. I still won't say that means defeat of the whole idea though it will reduce the odds of much more of Obama's ideas going very far anytime soon.
