Wow what a conundrum!

I would like to let my representative know that I don't support any funding of abortion in the health care bill but then they would interpret it as my supporting the bill if there is no abortion funding.......Which I don't!

So I guess I'll have to leave it at NO to more government involvement in health care!

But you MUST call, email or fax your opinion!!!!

Dan, most folks don't have a clue what this so called "health care" bill is truly about, aside from their itchy ears soaking in the pretty words that conceal it's and this legislation's genuine intent!

Well said, Linda! That's exactly what is throwing a kink into their plans and slowing them down today.. America is fed up with BIG government, control, sidestepping and blaspheming our constitutional rights in a socialistic attempt to take control of our lives! obama knows EXACTLY what he is doing! He's NOT simply caught up the liberal, progressive agenda....... He IS the liberal, progressive movement, has ALWAYS been, as evidenced by his past and those he ran with and needs impeached before even more damage is done to America. Damage that will not easily be undone if possible to do at all?

I agree with Dan E. It is a conundrum. Since Roe v Wade made abortions legal, the logical course is to include it among the medical procedures that will be funded at public expense. The only recource in my opinion is to class it as "elective surgery" which seems to not be included, but I may be wrong.

Taxes have gone towards abortions for a while now. In some states you get a ultrasound, make an appt and dont pay a penny because the state covers it.

Sence we are trying to stop healthcare from doing things we dont agree with I think it shouldnt cover Putting limbs back on most adults who lose them. If they are not smart enough to keep there limbs away from things that can cut them off then I dont want to pay for it.
I also want skin cancer taken off the bill. IF you have skin cancer and want taxes to cover it You should have to prove that you didnt go tanning or were spending a lot of time in the sun for any reason.
While Im at it take lung cancer off the bill unless of corse you can prove you have never smoked or were never around people who were smoking. You know it can harm you if you cant leave the room or move away from someone whos smoking then I dont want my taxes going to help you.
You know what Just take out anything that can be cause from people being stupid, Including heart attacks from not eating right, rotten teeth from not brushing right drinking soda or eating a lot of candy, broken bones from playing sports, and well anything that you might have caused in your adult life.

You make a valid point. Why should the moral code of anyone or any group decide law? "Wrong" or "right" for the purpose of legislation should be decided on what the possible consequences might be.

On the issue of causing the death of the unborn, currently U.S. law is contradictory. If the unborn are recognized as humans, then nobody should be allowed to cause their deaths except for any who pose a risk to the life of another. If they are not recognized as human, then nobody should be charged with a crime if any unborn is injured or killed.

The Roe v Wade decision permits the abortion of a "non viable" unborn, yet you can be charged with a crime under The Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004 (Public Law 108-212) for injuring or killing the unborn. Your inheritance laws grant right of inheritance to the unborn; both laws grant the right or protection to the unborn regardless of their stage of development. Many States' laws allow blastocysts to be legally adopted.

If they are humans, don't allow abortions. If they are not, repeal all those laws that recognize them as such.

They should make it one way or another, Its not right for a woman to be able to have an abortion but be able to press charges agenst someone who pushes her down steps and causes a misscarrage.

I vote they are not humans at all and we can freely give people abortions they like it or not.

I think to be on the safe side. I would just vote no the Whole healthcare plan. I hope that is what the democratic blue dogs do.

A wise choice, Deloris! The fact is that it's not about health care. That topic is simply what makes it appealing to the folks...... It's actually all about the beginning stages of total government control of the masses....

If it wasn't already covered, the supporters wouldn't balk at including an amendment to insure they are not covered. abormurdertion is in the bill....it is a bill for more control of the 'public'...hence the 'public option'...and those drafting the bill support abormurdertion....

If they began paying for abortion, they'd have to pay for birth control as well.
So, I don't think that will fly.

taxes go for birth control already. I have never lived in a state that didnt provide free birth control. Some states even pay women who are drug users to get on birth control.

Friends, as you already know, I care greatly about the pro-life issue. Right now, Congress is considering various health care reform proposals that could force insurance companies to cover abortion and make you and I pay for them with our tax dollars.

If folks can actually find ANY respect for ANY of our freedoms and our lives in this so called health care reform, then those folks are blinded by the glitter, in my opinion....

I have often thought that if the mothers of everyone who is pro-choice had gotten an abortion then there would be no debate about this subject..........

I have asked many unwanted children about the subject of abortion. I haven't heard any agreeing with it. Read interviews of a few who's abortion failed to kill them. THey hate abortion also. I know a child of rape who had to endure years of verbal abuse from his mother since he was a contant reminder of the rape. He's glad to be alive.

I think my mother should have gotten an abortion with both me and my brother. She should never have been alowed to have children.

The world would be a lot better off if some people were forced to have abortions instead of trying to get rid of abortions.

He had said more then once he wished he had been an abortion and his mom said she wished she would have had one.
Every second of his life was nothing but pain, a hug from his mother would cause his body to blister and his skin to fall off.
Any touch at all would cause him pain.
He seemed happy enough, loved to flirt with girls, loved people, enjoyed life. But when flat out asked if he had the choice would he had been born or had your mother get an abortion, he said he would have rather been an abortion. He lived in nothing but pain, pain from his disease, the pain from knowing his father hated him, the pain of watching his mother suffer because of it all. He couldnt handle it and wished he was never born.

I may sound supper harsh but for a min push away the reasons women have an abortion and think of the child for a second.

Think of all the children who were born only to die from being left in a dumpster, or tossed off a cliff, or left in a room alone.
Think of the kids that were chewed on alive by rats, or eaten by there own mother.
Think of how it has to feel to see your own mother end your life. To lay in a room and cry for your mother, warmth, and foood. To watch your mother wrap you in a plastic bag and leave you gasping for breath. To not even get a chance to be held by your mother because as soon as you are born you are droped in the dumpster you were born next to.

Think about the suffering they went though, how they must have felt. They are not only killed but the last thing many babys see is there own mother killing them.

Is that better then getting an abortion when the fetus is still nothing more then a small cluster of cells trying to form something? When they still dont have nervs to feel pain, or has little to no brain at all?

The farmer heard the mule braying and after carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened...and asked them to help bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery.
The old mule got hysterical as the farmer and his neighbors started shoveling dirt onto his back. But as they kept shoveling, an idea clicked in his head. Every time a load of dirt landed on his back...ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP! This he did, blow after blow. "Shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up...!" No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation, the old mule just kept right on SHAKING IT OFF AND STEPPING UP! It wasn't long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, STEPPED TRIUMPHANTLY OVER THE WALL OF THAT WELL! That which threatened to bury him, actually blessed him...and it was all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity!
Everywhere you go, there will be some folks who are going to have wrong attitudes and do very wrong things. You can choose to be like them if you want, but who really wants that? Not you? Then now is the time to "get over it" and get on with building yourself a good life with God's help, friend!

At the time of the abortion the fetus is not a". . . small cluster of cells trying to form something . . ." They already ". . . have nerves to feel pain . . " because the do indeed have a brain capable of memories and feeling pain.

People who are in great pain usually want to die. I have wanted to die a few times myself because the pain was so severe. So if the suffering can end, the person will want to live.

My friend who is a child of rape now enjoys life because his self image and his low self esteem were corrected.

My other friend who until her 40's had to undergo nearly daily experiences of verbal abuse now has very high self esteem. She was blessed with a very loving uncle who was there for her, then she got a visit from her father who had been banned from having anything to do with her or any member of the family.

Must not forget to respond to babies being thrown away. Killing the baby before birth or killing after birth? There is no need for having to choose between the better of two evils. In my opinion, both are equally abhorrent.

I can defibitely speak only for Jamaica, but I would be very surprised if the situation is different in the U.S. Whenever an abandoned or unwanted baby is located and announced to the public, there is a flurry of offers to adopt.

We have provisions for unwanted and abandoned children. It's just that they are not being used as much as they should be. Correct that and the percieved need for abortions would almost vanish. Everybody knows where the abortion clinics are, but hardly anyone knows where the shelters and adoption centers are.

Oh, I am not fooled by any stretch....if Grosi Pelosi's lips are moving.....
