My daughter's birthday is on the 12th. But the only day I'll be able to make it to the store is today. I'm wanting to send her to school with those frosted sugar cookies they sell at the store. Would they last until the 12th?
I'm going to look at the date on them. The sell by date. But I still want them to be fresh ya know?

Get 1 or 2 tubes (1 will make 24 cookies). When I make them, I roll the dough into a ball, and roll it in the sprinkles, then put it on the baking sheet, and flatten it with the bottom of a glass lightly. Pre-decorated, and easy to do. You could also just roll the edges in sprinkles, then frost the tops.
The kids will love them no matter what.
One thing you might also think about is getting those packaged mixes where all you have to do is add eggs, milk, or oil. They tend to stay good for longer and taste more homemade.
I eat those about as fast as I buy them so not sure if they stay so fresh a week later LOL
