The First Cat To Die From H1N1

The first cat to die frm H1N1 was from Iowa.  The poor cat was from Ames. I do hope this get's under contol. They are in fear that it may pass to dogs also.

I didn't realize that animals could get swine flu. Can horses and Llamas?

They are doing alot of testing, I sure hope not.
all the news stories I've found said the cat recovered... but it was the first one to be diagnosed with the H1N1

It was on the news last night,and this morning . They are fearing that dogs also can get it, and do not yet know if they can pass it. Lots of testing going on though-out the night.

I sure hope this gets under control. I didn't think animals could contract this virus. I guess I am going to have to research this.

This isn't really too surprising for me. We already knew we can pass on colds and the flu to animals. I have ferrets, and they are prone to picking up colds from their owners if you aren't careful.

I hear this on Good Morning America, something else for me to worry about. First the kids in school,now my dogs too??? The cases of swine flu are high here in FL, and the hot weather does not help in killing the germs.

over 35,000 die from flu in America every year.
pig-flu (ok SWINE-flu) was an 'epidemic' in 1975-76
Many died- many from the 'vacine'! other injuries from the shots also
And! we didn't have such mismanagement and hysteria from the government!
Please! research it, and DON't Panic!

Thats so sad. I have been keeping my dogs in and away from other people and dogs because of this.
