Gather Posts & Comments

 I don't know about the rest of you, but I am having problems following the posts. Every time I get where I want to be and finish my comment when I want to return to the previous page I end up at the very beginning of the posts. Does anyone have a solution to this issue? It is making it difficult for me to keep track of where I have been, if you know what I mean.

I appreciate any assistance.

After giving your post a view I clicked on the Back arrow in the top upper left corner and I ended up back at your post position in the listings.
I don't know if that will change after I leave this comment. I kind of don't expect it to.

Yea I am having the same problem.
I am not too happy with the changes .
I am sure I will get used to them as soon as they decide to make new changes.

Every one is having the same problems, have a look at my posts and you will see how to put a link on your comment or post so you can go back. Gather said it will take 4 days (more like 10) to fix the problem as well as some of their other ones. The Gather help page is no help on this either.

I have definitely had problems with putting a link on comments and posts. The answer I got from Gather wasn't any help. I thought I was clear in my description of the problem. They only confused me more. I thought the hyperlink button was supposed to work the same way a hyperlink works in an email program. It doesn't--not for me anyway.

This is an example. Just replace the [ with < and ] with >

I get comments in my emails that never show up on my Gather posts. Everytime Gather does an "Update" I shudder, lol.

Updates always have a few bugs to be worked out. Seems they are aware of this situation and it will be resolved.

Gather must be making some bucks. I'm doing the sane thing as to posting & comments, & getting about 1/4 of the points that I used to get. If I really gave a shXX about points, I would be long gone.

My points are increasing in a reasonable way. However, I wasn't with Gather before they made the point change. Glad you decided to stay, Jim.

Hey, I got bounced back to the beginning of the post listings after leaving my comment.
Well, that doesn't get it.
I keep losing the post listing page also. I'm reading the post listings and the post page goes blank.

That doesn't sound good. I haven't had that problem, but there are others. We are in that phase of working out the bugs in the update. Are we having fun yet?

I also miss the "Explore" tab to access the posts.
I also miss seeing the numbers of views & comments on the posts in the listings.
It has to get better.

I have not had that particular issue Elizabeth, I open each post in a separate tab, comment and close the tab and move on. If I want to return I can pluck that post from those deleted or from my comments history. I would not be active on Gather without tab browsing!

Hi Elizabeth,

Just updating you that we have resolved the back button bug. You should now be able to read posts, advance through pages, comment or rate and not lose your place when using the back button.

I've heard that others are having a similar problem. Since I haven't put the new Gather as my default I haven't had this problem yet. I have no solution for you.

It does work to open each post in a new tab. Works beautifully.

I have problems everywhere I turn here in Gather anymore. Since this last upgrade, it's almost impossible to do anything.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulty navigating through Gather. I changed some of my email preferences so I know when there are posts from selected groups. That helps a great deal.
