Most people outside do not take the time to understand nor have the interest to personally explore the tenants of faith held by various sects or denominations of the Church.
As a minister, I have always been surprised at the number of people who do not think for themselves but simply accept what some friend or revered acquaintance says about religion or various groups.
One should think enough of themself to take the time to learn the truth.
Most Christian churches or groups teach the basic truth of the Gospel so far as establishing a relationship with God are concerned. It is the living out of the life after becoming a Child of God that seems to cause most of the controversy. I am a Baptist by choice but I can see where others, Catholics included, can be equally acceptable to God so far as their honoring of Christ is concerned. I happen to think that most churches place too much emphasis upon orthodoxy and overlook the fact that God calls us to live simply and under His guidance while loving and caring for those around us who share our relationship with Christ.
