Sorry folks I still believe in Boston and they won the series the year I left Boston, go figure. So was it really the curse of the Bambino or had it always been the curse of Boston David? But truth be told congrats guys!!
I'm from Philly, but if the Phils couldn't win it, I'm glad a team like the Yankees, with all it's tradition, won it. I remember Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and I could go on and on. I'm very happy for A-Rod and everyone on that star-studded team. Congratulations to the World Champion N.Y. Yankees!!!!
I wish I had read this earlier. I could have celebrated with you! I was so psyched they won. It was about time! And to think only four original Yankees of the most recent World Series wins are still around:Jeter, Posada, Petittite (sp?), and of course the great Mariano Rivera. Of course Andy Petitte was with the Astros for a couple of years in the between years. But you know that already.
