Something has been bugging the shit out me. I’m going to share it, and see if I just have a weird warped sense of thinking…or is something really WHACKED with societies way of thinking?
We see a prostitute or promiscuous woman, and think, sleazy…or even what a whore.
Prostitutes are arrested for SELLING sex- An extreme NO, NO, in most States.
Society overall, frowns on such behavior. She SELLS sex!
Then take things such as rape. It’s taken, not given, or even sold…and though society says, OMG, how horrid, said offender usually walks away with a slap on the wrist. Take the most recent cases, where the kidnappers/murderers/offenders, had previous (and in some cases, numerous previous charges) charges, and had been released.
So which is it? Is a woman’s sex, a BIG deal or not?
Seems to me Society’s views on this, or at least, the judicial views on this, need a serious overhaul!

I also think if prostitution was legalized, there would be less sex crime committed..just my opinion.

My husbands cousin got busted breaking into someones house. He stole some valuble things and got caught- HE spent 20 years in prison..
The next door neighbor got caught raping a young 12 year old girl and got 3 years prison and 15 yrs probation
How is this logical? Has society placed more value on material things than on a human life?
Well, yeah.
Rape is a crime and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law ~ no wrist slapping, but life in prison, no chance of parole, ever.
Rap is usually done for control over another.
Usually, it is to show dominance, superiority. We see a lot of that Stockholm syndrome too, we are seeing a huge public display of it now.
Being a victim has became a very popular stance right now in our society, there are many who are victims right now and deserve this title.
Then take a action, a choice many people take, men and women - to sell there bodies. This is a choice. Many of these people will justify there actions by saying this or that.
BUT come right down to it, it is a action, choice that person makes.
Even the choice to dress as one of these who sells there body, this is choice - a action. It is frowned upon by some. They too will justify there actions, sometimes name calling and the such to make themselves feel they are right. Which they have the right to show there breast or there other parts, it is also the right of the person they are invading to say something.
If it were not for the attention these people get, they would not dress in this faction. The way I see it. A man who stairs at a woman's knockers sticking out to look at (why she is dressed this way in the first place), these men are prosecuted for doing what any living man would do. What a horrible situation some women put men into. Blaming the men of course!
There is a huge difference in selling something, or even giving something away (such as these women who dress this way), and taking it, such as rap. Two totally different things are being talked about here.
So it depends on how you see things as far as how you perceive your own thinking. No one is right or wrong, one may think different then ones peers or even society. Dose not make how one thinks as "wrong". It might be a harder road then just agreeing with the majority though.... the easier road to take.
After watching so many news results, and COPS...it just got wondering, Why?
