Is anyone else having issues here when trying...

Hi all. I am barely on Gather anymore and miss all of the drama (which is nice!) but I also miss any talk when updates happen ... so, this question may have already been asked and discussed but I've been so annoyed by it that I have GOT to ask about it!

Any time I try to comment on content (usually on a post that has many comments already) my page locks up on me and I'm frozen until that comment decides to finally post.

While this is happening, there's a message at the bottom of my screen that says 'Transferring data from speed.pointroll.com...' -- what the heck is that?

So I went to PointRoll.com to figure out what it is and to me it looks like the agency Gather uses to provide their ads or something but I'm not completely sure.

So, is anyone else having issues like this or have you seen the same message I'm seeing?

Oh yeah, I use Firefox.

I havent had problems with comments. but finding my photos has been my problem.

I haven't been on too much since the latest update but haven't gotten that comment. Just what we need - a NEW glitch!

Hi Faith! Glad to see ya! I know what you mean, I'm not on here much, either! I did haveall sorts of problems posting the other day, though.....it was so maddening! Gosh, though, I've not seen anything like what you had to contend with, though......these so called "upgrades" seem to cause more problems than they're worth......hope you can get it figured out~!

Yeah, they really do and I never post about them because I always know they'll eventually go away. This time though I'm having such a hard time posting that I just had to ask. I do have a question over at the Help Forum so hopefully someone will get back to me on it.

I usually don't have problems, but today has been unusually slow in posting comments. I thought it was my internet connection but my other sites I have been visiting seem to be running normally.

I'd be curious as to what you find out.

I'll let you know! I really think it has to do with the ads that load on pages but it's so weird how BAD it is now. Of course I'm not having any issues posting comments on this post but many other posts lock up on me and when it happens, it always has that message from PointRoll on the bottom.

I even went through and cleared out my cache and cookies and restarted and everything... still no luck.

I haven't noticed any real problems but then again like you, I haven't been on gather much. I did get frustrated yesterday morning when I wrote a whole article and there was an error on the page when I tried to post it. Stupid me didn't save it and lost the whole thing.
