The New Moon trailer "Never Hurt You", demonstrates how Team Edward vs Team Jacob first began. In this new video, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) steps front and center as Bella's (Kristen Stewart) hero. When her vampire boyfriend Edward abandons her, Jacob shows how much he cares:
"I know what he did to you. Bella, I'll never hurt you. I promise."
Not only is Jacob a good friend, but quite the sweetheart for a werewolf!. What Twi-Hard fan wouldn't get giddy over that steamy kiss? Should Bella really fight for Edward when he abandoned her? Do you think she should give Jacob a chance?
Team Jacob, this one's for you! *Sigh* Thank goodness I have the Twilight character to live vicariously through.

Stephanie Meyers could have made Bella a true modern heroine by teaching her young fan base that while losing your first love seems unendurable it is not. One does live to love again. But instead she chooses to introduce us to the lovable sweet Jacob. Jacob loves Bella with all his heart and does his noble best to repair her broken one. The case for Jacob being the one that truly loves Bella is a simple one. Bella is shocked constantly that Jacob seems to be reading her mind stating that she does not like to listen to music is one example. Jacob simply replies "Nah, I just pay attention" Whiny Edward is constantly lamenting that he can not hear Bella's thoughts as he can every one else's.
Once Jacob enters the picture I could have cared less about Edward and his (let's call it what it is, controlling, bordering on abusive) character. Once Bella chose to go back to Edward despite how he devastated her I was pretty well done with her too. I kept hoping, however that she would realize that Jacobs love her was real it did not require some vampire hypnotic spell. With him she could have a life that included her family, children, she could grow old with him, and he would never lie to her unlike a certain vampire who shall remain nameless. No one as pathetic as Bella deserves to be a hero to young girls the world over just the way her mother described what she saw alone shows us that she is a ridiculous girl. Her mother states that she "orients herself to Edwards position in a room like a satellite to it's moon".
Both Edward and Bella are horribly selfish. As even the author try's to point out in all of her references to Heathcliff and Catherine of Wuthering Heights. Bella justifies Heathcliff and Catherine's selfishness by stating that "Their Love is their only redeeming quality". No matter that Heathcliff and Catherine destroy everyone they come in contact with.
In the end I am glad that Bella does not "choose" Jacob as she never deserved him in the first place. Plus hellooooo Jacob Lautner is soooooooo much better looking than that ugly Robert Pattinson. Bella is a stupid, stupid girl indeed!
