Governors ...Schmovenors

Did anyone notice that while the Repulican Conservatives and all their FOX cohorts are giggling silly over the GOP's big win in the State battles that the Democrats picked up another seat in Congress?

"The result of this over-hyped battle for "the soul of the Republican Party" was that the North Country of New York has sent a Democrat to Congress for the first time since the 19th century." AOL news

I say a seat in Congress is worth three or four Governors in the win column. Muahahahahahahaha !

Can we get the new Congressman in his seat before vote time??????????

BTW Altho the campaign was called the "dirtiest and nastiest" ever run because thinly veiled references were made to Christie's girth (gasp).....no such sympathy for Obama's selection for Surgeon General who was repeatedly mocked for being TOO FAT to serve in the position!

They gained more than one Democrat in Congress. We now have Congressman-Elect John Garamendi from California. WooHoo!!!

The only ones I know of went to State Houses. Good question though. I have to think they would be shouting it from the rooftop though.

Am I correct that the NY seat was empty only because Pres Obama gave the Republican that formerly held it an appointment in his administration?
