Render unto Caesar....

Many of my articles I share about Jesus and the scripture. This morning a scripture popped into my head and I thought I would share it with you and ask you what you think it means and how it comes into play in your life.

Matthew 22:21 -They say to him, Caesar's. Then said he to them, Render therefore to Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's.

To me it means give Caesar money or whatever he wants in the material world, but to God give our love

All things belong to God.
To Caesar, people owed the government tax dollars and it is right to pay what you owe even taxes.

It means that we should pay taxes and go by governmental laws as long as they don't conflict with what the Bible tells us.

Caesar represents our government and we must give to the government what we owe them and we MUST give to God what is God's in our time, love, worship, body and soul.

Pay your taxes And your tithes. Seriously, I think it means that we are to live both in the world and in God's world. I always enjoy your articles, even though I don't always comment.
