Sesame Street 40th Anniversary: The Best Songs...

sesame street 40th anniversary Next week on November 10th is Sesame Street's 40th anniversary and start of the new season. First Lady Michelle Obama will be featured planting a garden in the very special episode which lauches Sesame's new environmental segment.

In honor of Sesame Streets 40th anniversary next week, I thought I would share some of my favorite classic Sesame Street songs both old and new.

Elmos Song: It is such a classic and my son and I watched it 1,000 times.

C is for Cookie: Again, one of my favorites. We were all just singing it in my office.

Ernie: Rubber Duckie You're The One

I remember my little brother being all excited when it first came on tv....he was only 3 yo at the time.

It is amazing how much has changed (new characters and segments) but also how much is still the same (Ernie and Bert, Big Bird, The Count). I have a ton more great videos to post over the next week leading up to the big premiere of the new season. It is just such a great show.

This indeed brings the nostalgia to a lot of people world wide, not sure if kids nowadays would appreciate the good ole sesame street gang if they are always tune to Youtube or facebook playing mafia wars. =)
