Recycled Recipe: Allrecipes' Steak Pie

This sounds really good, as long as you don't ruin it by adding any kidneys. I would add a can of mushrooms, since we love them and would probably simmer the beef longer to ensure it gets tender.

I also love the idea of using puff pastry rather than a pie crust!

I have to agree with you about the mushrooms :) By the way, my hubby has a lot of recipes he's clipped from magazines, etc. As a Christmas gift this year, I am going to type them up and glue the original clipping to the page...then put it in a page protector. All of them will then be placed in a binder. I came up with the idea after trying to help him find a recipe he was searching for the other day. With the pages being in sheet protectors, they can be easily wiped off when needed.

Thank you! I'm going to write a "photo essay" with pics of his recipes "before" and then "after". It will be fun to see the progress and then the final "book". Allen has no idea about this gift and he'll never be able to guess it....plus, he'll use it throughout the year :)
