Strong Dollar Screws the Economy

Because I get paid in American dollars, I enjoyed the 15% raise I had when the Canadian dollar was at $.85. It's now almost at par with the USD.

OTTAWA (Reuters) - The Bank of Canada on Wednesday repeated its message that the strong Canadian dollar would probably offset positive economic developments since July and that it could expand the money supply if needed.

There are those who say that the U.S. is weakening its dollar at a high rate. Perhaps Canada could borrow lots of money and bring down the value of their dollar as well. :-)
