On November 1st, Bill Seebeck was playing a $4 slot machine at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL when he hit it big, real big, almost $167 million BIG. Ready to cash in on his winnings the Casino Management gave Seebeck the bad news: the slot machine malfunctioned and therefore the casino did not have to honor the prize.
Apparently the maximum allowable earnings on that particular machine was only $90,000, which the casino officials also denied to pay. They felt his bet of $1.50 during the time of play would have only resulted in a maximum win of $2,500.
After receiving negative press for a similar situation only a few years ago, and receiving Seebeck’s threats that he would be hiring a lawyer, the Seminole tribe that owns the casino offered Seebeck a settlement. The exact amount is undisclosed but I’m guessing that it’s not $167 million.
The house always wins.

Second, I also believe gambling is a tax on the poor. They receive their entitlement check - did not earn - thus take it to try to MORE for nothing. Thus, their "free" money is stolen from them.
