Milford Logan lived in Royal Center, Indiana, a small town in north central Indiana.
In July of 1914, he received a postcard from Rachel, who encouraged him to take his medicine so he will get well.
Rachel mailed her postcard from Burnett's Creek, a post office that closed in 1922.
Burnett Creek or Burnett's Creek is in west central Indiana, adjacent to Layfayette, Indiana.
Rachel indicated that the weather was "cool", and that Billie kicked up his heels and ran freely.
I believe that Milford is a child, and that Billie is a horse.
The postcard image is an inferior product in comparison to the well-printed cards of the previous ten years. It has a primitive charm, however.
The outbreak of World War I ended the improtation of postcards printed in Germany. The replacement products printed in the United States did not achieve the same level of craftsmanship.
The subject of the card received by Milford was a farm, or barns, in a lovely rural setting.

When I was a boy, I recall a project in which we made paper, ornamented it with a drawing, then applied color by cutting out shapes of colorful tissue paper which "bleeds" when wettened.
The application of color on this card looks very similar.
I try to note all the ways in which I find the postcard to be interesting.
It's funny that the phrase "tis so cool" would have a different connotation today. In fact I first read it the "wrong" way...
It struck me as a throw-back to the 19th century (it is 1914).
I should pay more attention to this, as many postcards have stamps that look carefully applied, but which are not in the ususal position.
In my youth, I once worked on a craft project that resembled this card (although my efforts were far more "primitive" than this).
I think your reading is correct, Aniko.
I believe that it is something that was written to a child.
