Tomorrow, gospel singer BeBe Winans will appear on Oprah again to play host for Oprah's Karaoke Challenge. The problem is that Winans was arrested in March for domestic assault on his wife (he allegedly pushed her down to the ground in front of their young children), and the case is still pending.
In the wake of the Chris Brown/Rihanna case, Oprah spoke out against domestic violence, even dedicating at least one recent program to raising awareness about it. So is Oprah a hypocrite? BeBe Winans' wife sure thinks so. She told TMZ that she was "hurt by Oprah's decision to have Bebe on the show." On the other hand, Oprah did not allow Chris Brown to appear on the program after Rihanna-gate.
So what do you think? Is Oprah holding her potential guests to a double-standard when it comes to domestic abuse?
