Our Halloween weekend was rather eventful. The kids brought home oodles of candy. My favorite kinds of candy were plentiful in the piles they poured out onto the floor. I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter, and I was eyeing all the butterfingers and reeces peanut butter cups as they dumped them out onto the carpet. Oranges and yellows everywhere.
After the kids were snug in bed on Sunday night, I went digging around in the leftover Halloween candy. I grabbed my cup of coffee and my comfy chair and went to unwrapping a fun size butterfinger bar. I sunk my teeth into that milk chocolatey crunchy piece of heaven, and then all of a sudden there was a big crack that was not supposed to happen in this story. A big chunk of my tooth fell off in the back of my mouth. That's what I get for sneaking into my kids Halloween candy in the middle of the night. ha ha ha
I have dealt with the pain for about three days now. It is throbbing, and it has a sharp piece that is cutting my tongue. Enough is enough. As much as I hate going to the dentist, I broke down and made an appointment for 1:30 today. I'm going to have him pull that sucker out. We don't have the money for a root canal, or any of that fancy stuff and the tooth is in the back of my mouth. I cannot wait to get it OUT OF THERE.
What kinds of candies are you sneaking out of your kids baskets? If you don't have kids what are your favorites?

As for your actual question, I don't have any kids and not one trick or treater came to the door. I thought this was very odd given that I live in a apartment complex, but I'm glad my boyfriend bought candy I like. I've been snacking on Take 5 bars and Resees cups all weel.
This tooth has been bad for a while and had a small crack in it for a while now. Eating that candy bar was just the right touch to make it crack. OUCH.
CHOCOLATE is all I need! LOL!
Only 2 more hours and it will be gone, and a nice little bill to go with it. ha ha ha ha
I haven't messed with Elliott's Halloween candy other than eating a KitKat on Friday right after we got done trick or treating.
Since my new allergy to anything nut, my daughter graciously gave me all her twix (stale) and her kitkats (also stale) and a few others that I haven't gotten brave enough to try yet.
But boy am I in pain. I am in recovery from alcohol/pills for several years now so I won't take any pain medicine. So the tylenol is just not cutting it right now.
Thank you for the PM about the hat. I would love to get one. Love that cream/beige one. I need to wait until I start working again and then get back to you. I start my new job on Nov. 16. Money is really tight until then.
Glad it outta there though.
And, yes...I take candy from my kids :~) I tell them it's my pay for taking them out! Reese's, Milky Way, 3 Muskateers, Milk Duds....YUM!
