Republican bob McDonnell has defeated Democrat Creigh Deeds in Virginia’s election for Governor. It appears that his support by GOP members and independents -- taking 62% of the independent votes -- alike are responsible for his win.
Top concerns among voters today were the economy and health care – roughly 60% of those voters who were most concerned about the economy voted McDonnell over Deeds. Despite the party differences, the majority of voters approve of Obama’s work thus far, perhaps indicating a more moderate group of voters at the polls.

Did you vote today in the VA elections? How do you feel about the outcome?
