When leaving a message, don't try and convince a me that you're important by refusing to give your last name or phone number. You aren't and never will be able to convince me that you are more important than the one who signs my paychecks. And by the time you explain all that, you could have given me the name three times! Please just let me do my job.
And, don't prove to me that you are hilarious. Don't say that your name is Dr. Feltersnatch. I just don't have time to let you "charm" me. For God's sake, just let me do my job.
Let's remind the other end of the spectrum about things. Ok, employers, give this a whirl. Don't bluster that I stole your favorite pen, might you check your pocket first?Don't yell, don't whine, don't loom and domineer, and please, oh please refrain from taking out your bad day on me. I get to have all the bad days of y'all combined and that can get burdensome. Plus, then I have to take out my bad day on the plants. What? They're sometimes lower in the chain of command than I am. For the love of Pete, just let me do my job.
Don't talk to me about having to lay people off, while holding your daily starbucks and caddy keys in your hands. Remember, you can't compete with the all-powerful self righteousness of the poor, underappreciated underling.
oops time. Well, I think there's a wee bit of stuck in myself and with myself goin' on here! This is not my best frame of mind...sorry.

I went to the holistic doctor yesterday and she was mumbling under her breath about her mother, her daughter. she spent half of the hour talking about her problems... I should have only paid her 100.0 instead of 200.00 as I spent the other half solving her problems. Funny thing... It was not very ZEN... I go there for spiritual Zen, and she was not emoting it. :)
I chose (you chose) to come to work today. So suck it up.

btw, it helps to put something about Freewrite in the title. Since this group accepts all posts, that is, it's not moderated at the onset, I go through the posts rapidly to see that only freewrites have been posted.
This month, I am so busy with a variety of tasks including NaNoWriMo that I am removing posts that don't *look* freewrite-ish to me, judging by the title only.
:-) But I trust you so I took the time to read through before clicking "remove".
