** Misc. notes **

-- What is it with all the female stars and the clothes they wear?  So many of them look like hookers and tramps with the way they dress.  Do they want to look that way on purpose?  Or do they just have no fashion sense and don't realize that they look that bad?

-- Nonni's Italian Eatery in Concord, New Hampshire, has set a new world's record for the largest meatball:  222.5 pounds.  Now that's a lot of meatball!  www.worldslargestmeatball.com

** Sports notes **

-- College football is winding down their season.  My hubby's favorite team, Notre Dame, only has about a month of games left.  I don't get into the post-season games too much.  I feel like, in college football, it is more of a popularity contest than finding out who the real season's best team was.

-- In college basketball, UK had an exhibition game on Monday night.  My hubby commented that they weren't afraid to shoot the ball.  Well, pretty much all UK fans are all abuzz about Coach Cal's first season.

-- In Nascar, their season is getting ready to wind up, and the chase for the cup is on.  My favorites to win are Earnhart, Jr. or Montoya.  This is Michael Waltrip's last season to drive full-time.  He will only drive part-time next year.  But next year, Truex Jr. will drive for MWR.

-- In pro football, they are talking about the unbeaten teams; and beginning to speculate who will be in the playoffs.  Little too early for that.  But then I guess they have to have something to talk about.

-- In pro baseball, it is the phillies vs. the yanks.  Is it just me, or do you too want the phillies to win simply because it seems like the yanks always win the pennant?

-- Want an easy way to keep up with sports news?  Follow ESPN on twitter.  Now how did we ever keep up with sports news before ESPN came along?
