Did Your Hut Burn Down Today?

Got this in an email from my wife's youngest sister. It's so encouraging that I just had to share with Gather: The Little Hut
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for Jehovah to rescue him, and everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the elements and to store his few possessions.
One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames with smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened! Everything was lost! He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. " Jehovah , how could you do this to me?" he cried..
Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.. Moral of the story: It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because Jehovah is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering. Remember that, the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of Jehovah . Please Pass This Link On, Because You Never Know Who Feels Like Their Hut Is On Fire Today.

Thanks Dennis
If you want to read one of the funniest essays ever written, see if you can get a copy of "Dissertation on Roast Pig" by Charles Lamb. Not sure it's available but it does involve hut burning if that motivates you :)
Might be in an anthology in the library.
Our oven burst into flames - does that count? Thank you for the uplifting writing and yes, I need it.

He's gonna handle the big one. The one where we will need to be rescued from the powerful ones now controlling world affairs. He's also gonna wait until the huts are burning before acting on that disaster also.
In the times of trouble.......Praise him....
If the hut didn't burn down, no signal would have been seen. Very often others assume we are O.K. until they see a disaster strike. Then our true friends act and we get an opportunity to reassess our relationship with those we interact with.
beautiful!!!
