Travel-Randy Price, coin cutting jeweler!

Last weekend at the National Peanut Festival I saw Randy Price, a coin jeweler.

He takes vintage American and foreign coins and using a tiny jewelers saw cuts out the outlines of the various embossed coin image. I saw items he had cut the indivivual NUMBERS of the dates out of the backgrounds.

Prices seemed quite reasonable, given the amount of laborius and exacting WORK involved.

These are so cool! My parents are in Ozark, and after I read your other posts yesterday, I urged them to go check out the festival.

They really need to get out more, and this looked like it'd be a lot of fun for them.

that is exquisite craft~ I have a keychain neclace with an antique nycity token backing it~ made by a local artist~ I adore the time invetsed in and hands on tasks of those still devoted to their craft~
