I saw my first decorated Christmas yard this weekend. It was a small nativity scene with a few lights around it. It was tastefully done and reflected the Christmas belief of the homeowner. I was surprised. It’s the first week of November and the Thanksgiving turkey is getting ignored. Some yards are leaving their Halloween decorations up and just removing the spooks and leaving the pumpkins and Fall decorations in place and this looks nice and Thanksgivingish.
Christmas seems to be coming earlier and earlier every year. It’s sort of traditional to decorate for Christmas on the first weekend after Thanksgiving but this home owner really got in a hurry.
Have you started decorating for Christmas yet?

When the kids were little I always waited until after my
daughter's birthday..the 17th. I thought she should have
her birthday before Christmas. Also I thought 1 week was
a long time for the kids to wait for Christmas.
Then we always left everything up until New Years Day.
I will probably decorate earlier this year, maybe the 16th. LOL
I'll decorate after that..
And I say "hey y'all" and "Yee Haw"
And I keep my Christmas lights on, on my front porch all year long
Gretchen says it all for my household
I have not done a thing, as I wait until after Thanksgiving.
