I didn't know there was an old version. I just heard about the series last night and saw that short clip that ABC has up. Don't have much time for tv, even late at night, so I doubt I will watch it.

At the time, it was a very advanced series in the visuals. I watched a couple of reruns of it last night, and it is so ood how it looks cheesy new. LOL
Still a good series, but not as advanced now as then. LOL

I'm definitely planning to watch the new "V". I don't usually watch anything about aliens from outer space so I was surprised when I was excited about the new show after seeing the ABC video clip of it. Didn't see the show from the 80s.

Yes, I remember the old series and was disappointed when it didn't survive very long. I already have the DVR set up to record this new one. I plan to watch it.

I did... I loved it!
It was on the other day.. the whole thing! but as I sat there and watched it.. I realized at 20something I was so lame! I couldn't beleave how overly melo-dramatic it was. *sigh*
We are prepared to watch the remake

there was a marathon all day sunday, i was glued to tv most of the day. I will give the new one a chance but i usually hate remakes. the new battle star glactica was horrible

yesterday on syfy there was a marathon of the old "v"....I remember being glued to the tv back then and had to check it out yesterday I've forgotten some of it. I'm curious about the new "v" though I'll check it out!

I vaguely remember it , and I plan on watching the new one. Do you watch Lost? One of the women from that show is on V, and I don't know why!

yes I did notice that in the commercial....maybe she doesn't make it on Lost ....there is quite a body count on that show

I watched some of the original series about a week ago on Sci-Fi, and now I'm starting to watch the new one. Also watch for the phenomenon of "predictive programming" -- sometimes these shows foreshadow actual events, or provide a critique to current or past events. Remember the 'X Files' spinoff, 'The Lone Gunmen'? They actually did an episode BEFORE 9-11 with a similar terrorist scenario! Thanks for posting this.
