I was listening to local news on Sunday when I learned that The NY Yankees would open the stadium to it's fans to watch Game 4 of the World Series on
the big screen though the game was played in Philadelphia. Admission was free and the concession stands would be opened (not free) should the need arise.
About three hours before game time we decided, what the heck, and drove to the Bronx. We packed up a couple of blankets, some extra cash and off we went. The crowd was estimated at about 8,000 which I thought was pretty good since we were basically watching TV outside. Our seats were dead center behind home plate and had a great shot of the Big Screen.
The new stadium is really nice. A lot more room to walk
around. The stores and main hall had televisions so you can keep watching the game if you did a food run or a t-shirt run. We had a great time, not just because the Yankees won but it was something different and we were together.
Enjoy a couple of the photos.
