Something changed that I don't like. I doubt it's your fault, but I'm appealing to your superior intelligence in this matter in hopes that you have a crystal ball and/or insight into my problem.
A couple (maybe three) weeks ago when I logged onto my Gather page all the ads that have been blocked through Adblock Plus and Firefox were no longer blocked. I'm not sure if it is because of something that changed on Gather or if it is due to upgrading Firefox.
I absolutely hate the ads. They are annoying to look at, take up space, and drop their shitty little cookies on my hard drive... which are spyware offensive, slowing down my pc. They deserve to be KILLED.
Do you have a solution to my most important problem? If so, I will be ever so grateful. If not, I will be forced to refrain from visiting Gather until I find a solution to removing the ads once again, for my Gather surfing pleasure.
I've been on hiatus, so if this problem has been addressed elsewhere, forgive me please and send me a link.

Is there anybody out there?
It could be the Sound of Silence.
As far as ad blocking is concerned, we don't promote ad blocking. That is in complete conflict with Gather's business model. Sorry, but we can't help you with that.
A million apologies for the delay! I'm afraid MaryAnne's correct though, it's the ads that make Gather a free site, in addition to making Gather Points possible, so we would not provide any assistance in blocking our ads. Sorry!
