Gather Ghost Town!

I know Halloween was a couple of days ago, but this is really strange.  Has Gather turned into a ghost town today or is it just me?  Was everyone gobbled up by goblins?  Did the swine flu hype turn into reality?  Where the heck is everyone on Gather today?

*flounces off in a huff*

I am rarely on anymore. I'm so busy with the kids, doctor appointments, school stuff for the kids, dealing with my childish father and so much. Plus recently Gather started becoming a chore, when I realized how hard I would need to work to get any points at all. I was spending all day here and only getting 5 points a day. I realized that I was making this into more work than fun and it stopped having fun writing and posting. I kept comnig back to read and sometimes comment but my heart wasn't totally into it!
I know I need to catch up a lot, especially since I need 700 points to get another $50 in my Paypal for Chrismas. I'm WAY behind! I promised myself I would start enjoying this site again, and hopefully with the enjoyment the want to write would come back too :)

I missed you Alex! Gather has changed a lot so I changed the way I'm Gathering. I need the points, too, as well as enjoying the socialization. My Gather posts are different to appeal to search engines as well as people, which seems to be the best way to get more Gather points these days. I still grab moments of enjoyment here too, only it doesn't seem to be as often these days.

I missed ya Lori and was wondering about "seeing red" - does that mean the Phillies? (c'mon a little friendly rivalry here my Philly friend - ya know I'm a dedicated New Yawkah and Yankees fan ;)

Many have lost their urge to "gather" it seems...for some it's the points, for others it seems to be the drama...

I stopped too for a while with the summer etc. I stay for a few great friends that I've made. That's it. Swine flu will be the death of us all. It's started at preschool and now today I feel achey and run down. UH OH! I'm starting to pound the all natural meds.

My son was home today after having a high fever and vomiting all day yesterday into the night. We're both exhausted right now but the fever broke and he's feeling better. I'm pounding natural meds today like there's no tomorrow...

I've been away for several weeks tending to my mother's medical care, and I'm surprised at how the site has deteriorated within even that short of a time span. Sadly, this will likely get much worse unless Gather can stem the tide with the new site update tonight.
