More than just a regional fair, or a AG show the festival has music, crafts, livestock and other types of entertainment, including a large midway show...
Situated on a HUGE fairground, built primarily for the annual event right off U.S. 231 the National Peanut Festival is such a huge show that it takes all year to create.
One aspect of the event is the various livestock on display. One breeder I spoke to estimated that the numbers of animals on display over the week long event would be "in the hundreds".
