Whatever he would do, he would not get elected. The authorities would have his dossier of who he may have "associated" with and people would never look beyond his clothes and outward appearance.

Are you sure he would be elected? I doubt that he could be. Just think how people would hate his platform of giving to the poor and rendering to Caesar. And if he were elected, would the Senate allow him in? The lobbyists would hate him because they could not influence him.

Leo - as far as making the point that Jesus would vote on moral grounds and in the interest of treating your fellow citizens in the way you'd like to be treated, I believe you're right on track.

As for those who like to think he'd be a Libertarian Teabagging A-hole, I'm surprised they took time off from re-writing the capital b bible to rid it of its "liberal" slant.
